Cymeone Mopao is a kizomba instructor based in Paris.
He is one of the first instructors who taught kizomba in France, since 2009.
Being a native of musician’s family, he quickly developed likeness for kizomba music, and later for the dance. Prior, he was fond of other African dances, like ndombolo and coupé décalé.
At the age of 18, he joined a famous African dance group, know as “Les Coeurs Brisés “. While performing frequently, he became interested in newly discovered dances, including zouk, kompa and kizomba.
His first kizomba class was taught in 2009, where it grew exponentially. With such a great success, he decided to expand Kizomba not only to Parisian, but to the rest of Europe. It was at this point that he became well known as a dynamic, incredible and exciting Kizomba instructor for his ability to turn non-Kizomba dancers into lovers of the art, thereby making him one of the most wanted instructors in the international festivals.
In 2010, he became one of the first French Kizomba instructors to travel and share the culture across the continent and abroad, landing him on the shores of NEW YORK, United States, where he introduced Kizomba.
In 2011, he brought kizomba to Reunion Island and organized Kizomba events and associations, of which now famous international instructor Curtis Seldon was formed.
Since 2012, he has acquired advanced training skills to also be an instructor of other dances, like LINDY HOP and STEPPIN.
His friends call him (Cymeone) a real tsunami, one who has incredible and enthusiastic skills for Kizomba dance; hence, making him one of the most wanted professors in the world.
